ZeroPos
An offline-first Windows point of sale that a friend and I build together and install at retail shops.
About the project
Our own product: a point of sale for small Sri Lankan retail shops that keeps working without the internet. A friend and I build it together and install it at shops. Most of the code is his.
Each shop runs an ASP.NET Core API on SQLite, cashiers use a WPF desktop client, and terminals find the shop's server on the local network over mDNS. It has setups for bakeries, electronics, grocery, PC and pharmacy shops.
What it covers
- Works offline, with the shop's own server on the local network
- ESC/POS receipt and barcode printing, and a customer display
- Gift cards, loyalty, cheques, returns and day-end
- Purchase orders and goods received notes
- CD-key licensing tied to the machine
- MSI installer
My part
A friend and I build it together, and most of the code is his. My parts include per-batch pricing with a batch picker at the till, an owner-only audit of price overrides, weight presets for scale items, stock adjustments with inline approval, stock history by user and terminal, keyboard-only cashier fixes and an offline admin recovery command.
